Ryan Insolera, PhD

Principle Investigator

Ryan grew up in New Jersey, and got his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at University of Michigan in 2007. He went on to do his doctoral research at Weill Cornell Medical College studying cortical development in mice in Dr. Songhai Shi's lab, receiving his PhD in 2014. He did his postdoctoral research with Dr. Catherine Collins at University of Michigan studying mitochondrial quality control in Drosophila neurons. He brought his research program examining mitochondrial maintenance in the context of neurodegenerative disease to Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2021.
